Vanport Mosaic Installation

History is Now is an outdoor exhibit in a collaboration with Vanport Mosaic, utilizing empty storefront windows with history displays that celebrate local communities’ strength and meant to inspire people to join in solidarity and action. The pop-up exhibit consists of 65 displays spreading across six buildings in the North Park Blocks.

This museum without walls is instigated by MICHELLE COMER - facilitated by Vanport Mosaic/STORY MIDWIFE LAURA LO FORTI and Community Weaver CHISAO HATA - coordinated and designed by Design As Protest/KARIM HASSANEIN, SOPHIA AUSTRIN, EMILY WAKDINGER - and co-created with:
